IMO Introduces the Port of Yokohama's initiatives at a workshop "the decarbonization of shipping and ports" in Mumbai, India
On October 11, 2023 the Port of Yokohama participated online in the workshop "Port Actions for Green Shipping" in Mumbai along with the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) and Yokohama Kawasaki International Port Corporation (YKIP), and introduced on the role it has played, and will continue to play, in the shipping industry’s shift to next-generation marine fuels.
The City of Yokohama introduced Rightship's Maritime Emission Portal (GHG emission monitoring system), the council for the promotion of onshore power for domestic vessels, and the Environmental Ship Index (an incentive program for environmentally friendly ships). YKIP introduced ship-to-ship LNG bunkering initiative.
